After watching the second film in what is looking like will become a regular series of murder mysteries involving Daniel Craig playing a Hercule Poirot-esque southern gentleman detective, it is clear that these films will offer some truly fashionable trends. In the first Knives Out, costume designer Jenny Eagan brought us Chris Evans’ cozy cable-knit sweater, and returns for this sequel with more textile eye candy.

Birdie Jay

After the evening dinner party, Birdie Jay (played by Kate Hudson) is seen spinning around in a stunning shiny rainbow gown.

If you’re looking for a similar dress to impress friends at your next party, there are a plethora of options fit for a variety of styles. From short spaghetti strap sequined dresses, knee-length a-line dresses, summery maxi dresses, and even shimmery floor-length evening gowns, there is a style for everyone.

For something on the shorter side (but no less glamorous!) try a sequin spaghetti strap style:

Or go for a knee-length a-line dress like this one with a flattering neckline:

Or find your perfect shade of rainbow with a maxi tulle dress:

This long a-line gown is perfect for a dressier occasion:

Whiskey

We also see Whiskey (played by Madelyn Cline) sporting a few knock-out styles, including a bodycon cut out dress.

When she first arrives at the island, however, she’s seen wearing a more rustic look including a white boho-chic top, white cut-offs, and tall brown boots with some fringe for flare.

Lionel Toussaint

We can ooh and ahh over the womens’ fashion all day, but we can’t forget about the extremely well-styled men in this movie, as well. We see Leslie Odom Jr., playing Lionel Toussaint, wearing a well-fitted forest green suit in the same scene as Kate Hudson is wearing the rainbow dress. And while it is very stylish, he keeps it feeling casual with some loafer-style shoes and an off-white shirt.

Benoit Blanc

Want to steal Benoit Blanc’s pool look? He wears a blue-and-white striped shirt and short set and accessorizes the look with a yellow polka dot bandana and round shades.

It's clear that we can expect to see more great styles from the characters in Knives Out murder mystery movies in the future.
